Disaster Preparedness and Contingency Planning

Surety's overall aim on Disaster Contingency projects is to move the client away from a relief response paradigm to one of risk management from the highest government office down to individual communities. We favour;

the promotion of open dialogue - inclusive whole of society plan from government through to the people
information exchange
robust coordination matrices for early warning, risk reduction, response plans
supportive legislative frameworks, community involvement (including degrees of process ownership)
clear policies, roles & responsibilities and processes at every level
incorporation of local contractors and bodies in both assisting in developing answers to their issues, as well as providing the work required in the Plan to build the local economy
